A provider of crisis shelters and transitional housing in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Covenant House Florida serves runaway and homeless individuals under the age of 21. The organization offers assistance to street kids where they live through its dedicated team of outreach counselors. These counselors travel by van, bicycle, and foot to make contact with as many young people as possible.
Covenant House Florida’s street outreach initiatives attempt to raise awareness of the organization’s housing options through face-to-face dialogues. These initiatives also offer nonperishable food, clean clothing, first aid supplies, hygiene supplies, HIV testing, and informal on-site counseling sessions.
